Walk the Walk on Friday, Sept. 28
It offers students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to learn about social and environmental justice nonprofits right here in their neighborhood. All walking tours include a stop at the Center for Change, to learn more about CSW and the other Center tenants.
Participants can then choose their themed route and visit nonprofits (listed below) working on: civic engagement, civil rights, or children and families.
All UW-Madison students, faculty, and staff are welcome to participate. Tours leave from the Chadbourne Residential College lobby at 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 pm, rain or shine.

Tours Include the Following Nonprofits:
ABC for Health: A public interest law firm working to improve health care access and coverage for children and their families, especially those with special health care needs.
Community Shares of Wisconsin: a collaboration of more than 60 nonprofits, CSW is the oldest social action fund in the country. CSW connects donors with local grassroots nonprofits that create change in Dane County and throughout Wisconsin. It focuses on social, economic, and environmental justice.
League of Women Voters of Wisconsin Education Network: Where hands-on civic engagement builds a better Wisconsin!
Wisconsin Council on Children and Families: Ensuring every child in Wisconsin grows up in a just and nurturing family and community.
Wisconsin Democracy Campaign: Working for clean government and a fair democratic process.
Wisconsin Women’s Network: Working to improve the status of women in Wisconsin.
WORT 89.9 FM Community Radio: Community-oriented, noncommercial, listener-sponsored radio station broadcasting to south central Wisconsin.
