What Your Dollars Accomplish

Gifts to Community Shares serve two critical functions:

  • They help support the services we provide.
  • They benefit all of our nonprofits–with a portion of the gift divided equally among all of our member groups.

Gifts can also be donor directed, meaning that you as donors can direct donations to one or more specific member groups. In such cases, our member nonprofits receive 100% of your contributions.

Funding Sources

Community Shares of Wisconsin received 2010 revenue from: campaign giving in public and private workplaces; individual donations; online giving; corporate gifts; Community CHIP; and other gifts directed through Community Shares.

Public Employee Giving Campaign  35.6%
Private Employee Giving Campaign  27.3%
Individual Donors/Direct Mail  16.9%
Special Events/Corporate Sponsorships  2.8%
Contracts/Dues/Other  17.4%

We appreciate the generosity of all those who contribute! A copy of our audited financial statements for the year ending December 31, 2010, is available upon request.
