Hannah Nowakowski, Sierra Club Foundation-John Muir Chapter
Hannah Nowakowski started as a student intern with the Sierra Club Foundation-John Muir Chapter and jumped right in by helping to coordinate the student-led ‘March Against Pipeline Expansions’. Hannah is now a critical member of the Sierra Club’s Tar Sands Team, taking on any project necessary to help advocate for an energy future free of dangerous oil pipe lines.

Bill and Lisa Keen, River Alliance of Wisconsin
Bill and Lisa Keen have volunteered with the River Alliance of Wisconsin for over 13 years. Recently they dedicated themselves to preventing the spread of New Zealand mud snails in a stream where they regularly do water quality monitoring. As part of this effort, Bill helped organize the construction of 30 wader wash stations at a River Alliance volunteer event.
