On Thursday, September 8, we will host our 2016 Community Change-Maker Awards Event, where we will gather to recognize local heroes in our community and celebrate their significant accomplishments.

Every year we honor 24 Backyard Heroes (listed here) and three Change-Makers. This year’s Change-Makers are:

• Darla Lannert: Linda Sundberg Civil Rights Defender Award—nominated by OutReach, sponsored by Heartland Credit Union
• Sr. Maureen McDonnell: Sally Sunde Family Advocate Award—nominated by Interfaith Coalition for Worker Justice, sponsored by Zendesk
