REAP Food Group‘s Buy Fresh Buy Local Program helps farmers, chefs, and consumers build lasting relationships. The goal is to create a long-term network of local producers and buyers. There’s an economic benefits to all parties. And as a result we all have more opportunities to eat foods locally grown in a healthful, just, and sustainable manner.
• The Program grew from 38 to 47 restaurant, retail, and healthcare partners, each committed to building lasting buying relationships with local farms.
• Partner restaurants bought more than $2.5 million directly from local farmers.
• There’s now a wider geographic reach, with partner restaurants in Lake Mills, Mazomanie, and Sun Prairie.
