The Big Share® Business Fundraiser Digital Media Kit

Downtown Madison Inc logo

Thank you to Downtown Madison, Inc for sponsoring this kit.

Thank you for being a business fundraiser as part of The Big Share® 2023. Your enthusiasm and support for local philanthropy are greatly appreciated and will help Make Change Happen.

Community Shares of Wisconsin prepared this digital media kit so you can ask your employees, board members, customers, and other stakeholders to support The Big Share by donating on or before March 7, 2023.

You can start using these materials right away; the earlier you start fundraising the more people you can reach. These materials can be copied to use as-is or you can adapt them for your own needs.

Included in this kit are instructions about how to customize your fundraising page, plus social media posts, email messages, talking points, and links to graphics that will help you in your fundraising efforts.

How does it work?

Please start by registering your business.

As a business fundraiser, you will have your very own fundraising page on thebigshare.org. You create your own link when you register your business. You can find your custom fundraising link in your dashboard.

You will send this link to your members/employees, board members, customers, and other stakeholders to request donations through your fundraiser.

From your business fundraiser page, visitors click the “Support a Nonprofit” button to select which nonprofit(s) they want to support and how much to donate. The visitors then check out, just like shopping online, and select your business’ name in the “Employer” box so their donation is associated with your fundraiser.

Their donation will then appear on your business’ page and will contribute to your business’ goal for the event. Goals can be based on either a dollar amount or a percentage of employee participation.
