An Illinois community filed a lawsuit when its water was found to be contaminated with the weed-killer atrazine. Officials were especially worried about new scientific evidence linking atrazine to endocrine disruption.
The Center for Media and Democracy (CMD) investigated the corporation’s/PR team’s tactics to contradict the evidence, including paying people to counter negative press and to spin the public. Materials recently released by CMD include new analysis by reporters, and previously sealed court documents.
