Though Evan was used to hearing that he won’t amount to much, because of prior non-violent offenses as a young teen, he turned a corner as an older teen and got involved in Common WealthCommonWealthDev‘s Youth-Business Mentoring Program. Evan learned how to present himself professionally, and he learned to find the motivation to follow up on commitments. After his Common Wealth mentor helped him find a job at a pet supply store, Evan has been working 20 hours a week while keeping up his grades. He is determined to prove to himself and others that he will be successful and self-reliant.
