Dane County TimeBank logoAfter Roberta’s husband was diagnosed with acute leukemia, she needed lots of help sterilizing her house to protect his compromised immune system. Dane County TimeBank members helped with dozens of hours of cleaning and sterilizing. In return for the TimeBank hours she received, Roberta earned TimeBank hours with tasks such as making snacks for a member’s kindergarten class and giving members her garden produce.

Roberta says the TimeBank members who’ve helped out since her husband’s diagnosis have become just like family.

The Dane County TimeBank offers resource sharing through mutually beneficial exchange. You can “receive” your TimeBank hours by receiving help from others, and you can give TimeBank hours back by helping anyone else in the network.
