Disability Rights Wisconsin (DRW) recently published a report on sexual assaults and other problems at the Milwaukee Mental Health Complex (a county-run mental hospital). The other problems included the lack of quality of treatment for some patients and the inadequacy of discharge planning.

This report garnered a huge amount of media attention. DRW’s continuing advocacy helped to prompt a number of reforms–to improve the quality of and the access to services for people with mental illness.
