Lisa Pugh, Public Policy Director for Disability Rights Wisconsin (DRW), has been appointed by President Obama to serve on the President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities. It’s a great recognition both for our state and for member group DRW.
Lisa was earlier awarded the Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr., Foundation fellowship which led her to serve in Washington, D.C.–as a Disability Policy Advisor with the U.S. Department of Education and as a Legislative Fellow with the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on Education and Labor. Since returning to Wisconsin and joining DRW Lisa has worked on many disability issues. http://www.disabilityrightswi.org/archives/3751#more-3751
