Zanne Marie Gray surrounded by Project Home membersIn 1998 Zanne Marie Gray was one of the “50 Movers and Shakers” in Madison Magazine. She was ahead of her time, offering web design and development for local businesses and nonprofits. But in the last few years, multiple sclerosis (MS) left her confined to bed much of the time.

After Zanne was helped by Project Home‘s Hammer with a Heart Program, she wrote: “You all went above and beyond to alter the quality of my life. And you did it with such enthusiasm and compassion that it still has me astonished. . . . I have always loved my home and known that I want to live here for the rest of my life, and now I truly believe I can.

“Just simply being able to roll directly up to a sink to wash my face . . . and I have a porch that I can safely sit on, giving me wonderful access to the outdoors that has been missing in my life for so long. These two examples may seem small, but to me they are life-altering miracles.”
