Dora K
At age 101, Dora is full of energy and enthusiasm—especially when the topic is her iPad. It was a gift from a family member who saw how easily Dora could enlarge font and print sizes to help her read despite her macular degeneration. About Marshall Flax, with the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired, Dora said, “he has such empathy and patience.”

With help from the Council, Dora can now read the newspaper online—and not just the headlines anymore. “Now, I’m reading the news more in depth and enjoying the greater connection with what’s going on.”
