Deborah Gil R. Casado, Nuestro Mundo Inc.
In 2002 Deb Gil R. Casado began work to help found Nuestro Mundo Inc. (NMI), which launched the first bilingual charter school in Madison two years later. Her leadership, poise, and vision were critical. You can see by the numbers that Deb has served NMI tirelessly–in seven years she has put in over 1,000 volunteer hours for the school’s bilingual students.

Anne Wilder, Gay Straight Alliance for Safe Schools
Anne Wilder has served as co-chair and chair of the board for the Gay Straight Alliance for Safe Schools for the past three years. Anne served as a mentor for transitioning board members and prepared two board development sessions with and outside consultant–events that help GSAFE remain sustainable and effective. Anne also played a pivotal role in developing Bystanders to Allies, and anti-bullying program to make K-12 schools safer for all students.
