Madison Audubon Society’s summer internship program focuses on restoration ecology. For 12 weeks each summer, crews have the tough job of habitat restoration and management at two sanctuaries and on other properties protected by our partners in the program.

Interns enjoy the total immersion in the outdoors—while also learning the tricks and tools of the trade of ecological restoration. The interns control invasive plants, collect seeds of native species, and monitor plant and animal populations.
