Last year the Rape Crisis Center answered well over 2,000 calls on its 24-hour crisis line. And advocates accompanied victims to the hospital or police station over 400 times. Having someone to provide support, information, and resources for the victim and her/his support people can dramatically improve that person’s experience interacting with medical and legal systems.
