The REAP Food Group Farm to School program provides weekly fresh fruit and vegetable snacks, grown on local farms, to 4,500 students in Madison’s most economically challenged elementary schools.
“Some of our students rely heavily on the meals and snacks they receive at school. If we have some left over from morning snack we like to offer it to kids at the very end of the day. When the final bell rings, it’s great to see kids walking out of the school with handfuls of sweet potato sticks and green beans!”
