Disability Rights Wisconsin: policy director named to presidential committee

Lisa PughLisa Pugh, Public Policy Director for Disability Rights Wisconsin (DRW), has been appointed by President Obama to serve on the President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities.  It’s a great recognition both for our state and for member group DRW.

Lisa was earlier awarded the Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr., Foundation fellowship which led her to serve in Washington, D.C.–as a Disability Policy Advisor with the U.S. Department of Education and as a Legislative Fellow with the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on Education and Labor.  Since returning to Wisconsin and joining DRW Lisa has worked on many disability issues. http://www.disabilityrightswi.org/archives/3751#more-3751
