Gathering Waters Conservancy: training, coaching, and mentoring 750 land trust staff

Hikers on a Wisconsin Land Trust
Gathering Waters Conservancy
(GWC) found that in the past 8 years, the number of acres protected by Wisconsin land trusts has jumped from 80,000 to over 300,000—almost 5 times the aggregate area of Wisconsin State Parks.

In the 18 years since GWC was formed, the number of land trusts in Wisconsin has grown from 12 to over 50. In the last 18 months alone the GWC staff provided training, coaching, and mentoring to 750 land trust staff and board members. Land trusts asked for help, and GWC listened.
