REAP Food Group: offering some of Wisconsin’s carrot harvest–#1 in the nation–to schoolkids

Wisconsin was the number one carrot producer in the nation in 2012 (producing 37%!). REAP Food Group‘s Farm to School program bought 3,500 pounds of carrots from local farms last year and served them to 4,500 school children in some of Madison’s most economically challenged elementary schools.
