Ros Zeltins gradually began losing her vision as a teen, but it hasn’t stopped her from marrying, having a fulfilling career, or traveling to exotic places like Nepal and Thailand.
Ros recently completed a series of orientation and mobility training sessions through the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired, and she is amazed at how much technology has advanced for people with vision loss. She’s a fan of her e-reader, and she loves what she learns from the Council’s webinars.
Even after Ros retired from her pharmacy career due to her vision problems, she said, “I was determined to embrace my vision loss and learn how to live my best life. It does no one any good to sit around, mope, and feel sorry for oneself.” Her active life is a testament to that.
