County Conservation staff help implement critical programs that prevent manure, fertilizer, and other chemicals from entering our waterways. Governor Walker’s proposed budget had slashed support for County Conservationists by a devastating $998,600. After receiving more than 32,000 letters from Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters Institute supporters, the Joint Finance Committee restored the funding.
