At Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters Institute’s (WLCVI’s) Conservation Lobby Day, conservationists found that a number of legislators have serious reservations about SB 302, the “bad groundwater bill.”
SB 302 endangers our groundwater resources–allowing frac mining companies, factory farms, and other large water users to put in wells without considering how much groundwater is getting sucked up in an area. This could quickly draw down our drinking water supplies.
Those in attendance said WLCVI helped them:
- Get the training they needed to be good lobbyists
- Have meaningful conversations with their legislators
- Take action to protect Wisconsin’s air, land, and water
