As part of its work in Health Literacy, Wisconsin Literacy is now offering services to health care providers and health care organizations. The goal is to teach how to communicate health information and services in a way that is understandable for all—including those with lower literacy skills, or for whom English is not their first language. More easily understood language can result in:
- Fewer health tragedies due to misunderstanding
- Lower health care costs
- Better health outcomes overall
